  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder (4 g)
  • lemon zest (grated from one lemon)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (plus more to decorate the finished tart)

Preparation of Ricotta and Chocolate Tart in Air Fryer

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking powder with the 1/4 cup of sugar and the grated zest of one lemon.
Add the softened butter cut into pieces and mix until you have a sandy mixture, then add the egg and knead firmly until you have a smooth and firm dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.

  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, cream the ricotta with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar until smooth, then incorporate the chocolate chips. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and keep it in the fridge until ready to use.
After the dough has rested, roll out two-thirds of the dough into a buttered tart pan about seven to eight inches in diameter that fits your air fryer, covering the bottom and sides.

  • Pour the prepared cream into the tart, level it, and cut strips from the remaining dough to place in a lattice pattern over the cream.
Bake at 320°F for twenty to twenty-five minutes, until golden.
Let it cool completely, transfer to a serving plate or tray, and dust your ricotta and chocolate tart in the air fryer with powdered sugar as desired.
