  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks (from medium eggs)
  • 2.8 oz sugar
  • 0.4 cup all-purpose flour (or potato starch or cornstarch)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (or the grated zest of a lemon)

Preparation of custard cream in three minutes

  • To make custard cream in 3 minutes, place the yolks with the sugar, vanilla extract (or the grated zest of a lemon), the flour (or potato starch or cornstarch), and the milk in a tall container with a hand blender and blend everything until you get a smooth and homogeneous mixture.

  • Transfer the mixture into a saucepan and bring it to the stove, stirring constantly and bringing to a boil until the cream thickens.

  • Pour it into a shallow container, leveling it, and cover it with food wrap “skin-deep,” directly on the surface of the cream, so it doesn’t form that annoying skin as it cools.
When it’s completely cold, you can use your cream to fill desserts or as a spoon dessert.
