Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream (still liquid)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 3 apples
  • ground cinnamon

Preparation of the Apple and Cream Cake

  • Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
Gradually add the still liquid heavy cream, continuing to beat with the mixer, then also add the vegetable oil.
Finally, incorporate the flour, a pinch of cinnamon, and the baking powder.

  • Peel and dice one apple and add it to the batter.
Pour it into a buttered and floured 9.5-inch diameter cake pan.
Wash the other apples, remove the core, slice them thinly, and arrange them on the cake surface, letting them sink slightly into the batter itself.

  • Sprinkle the surface with a little more sugar and a pinch of cinnamon.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for forty minutes: perform the toothpick test, which should come out dry when inserted into the cake; if not, extend the baking time a bit.
Remove from the oven, let cool completely, and serve your apple and cream cake.
