Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 4.2 oz sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup milk (+ 2 tablespoons)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 pod vanilla
- 1 packet baking powder
- powdered sugar (for decoration)
Preparation of the two-tone cake in the air fryer
Beat the eggs with sugar and the seeds from a vanilla pod until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
Add the vegetable oil and milk, stirring until incorporated.
Add the flour and baking powder, working the mixture until smooth and homogeneous.Divide it in half and add to one half the unsweetened cocoa powder and two tablespoons of milk, incorporating them perfectly.
Grease and flour a 8-inch cake pan suitable for the air fryer and pour the two mixtures by spoonfuls, alternating them.
Bake at 300°F for forty minutes in the preheated air fryer.Perform the toothpick test: insert a toothpick into the cake, and if it comes out clean, the cake is done, otherwise extend the cooking time a bit more.
Once done, remove from the air fryer, let it cool completely, then transfer your two-tone cake to a serving plate or tray and decorate it with powdered sugar as desired before serving.
