Ricotta, Chocolate, and Nutella Cake

The ricotta, chocolate, and nutella cake is a delicious pantry cake, easy to make, and truly irresistible.

Super soft, filled, and with an intense chocolate flavor, it’s perfect as a dessert, but also for breakfast or a snack, for both adults and children.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/4 cup ricotta
  • 7 oz dark chocolate
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder for desserts
  • nutella
  • powdered sugar (for decoration)

Preparation of Ricotta, Chocolate, and Nutella Cake

  • Chop the chocolate and melt it with the butter in the microwave or a double boiler.
    Beat the eggs with the sugar for a long time until you get a light and fluffy mixture.
    Add the melted chocolate slowly, always mixing with the electric beaters.

  • Add the well-drained ricotta, still mixing with the beaters.
    Finally, add the sifted flour and baking powder.
    Butter and flour a 9-inch diameter cake pan and pour half of the prepared mixture into it, leveling it.
    Distribute teaspoons of nutella scattered on the batter, and then cover them with the remaining batter.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for forty minutes.
    Remove from the oven and let your ricotta, chocolate, and nutella cake cool completely in the pan.
    Transfer it to a serving plate or tray, decorate it as desired with a little powdered sugar and serve.
