Ingredients
- 1 sheet fresh puff pastry
- 1.5 oz mortadella (or cooked ham)
- 0.7 oz smoked scamorza cheese
Preparation of Savory Croissants in Air Fryer
Unroll the puff pastry: if you use a round one, divide it into twelve wedges; if you use a rectangular one, cut it into triangles.
Cut the mortadella into strips and the smoked scamorza cheese into small pieces.Wrap a piece of scamorza in a strip of mortadella, place the roll at the base of the puff pastry wedge or triangle, and roll up the puff pastry starting from the base. Slightly bend the tips of the croissants thus created and place them in the air fryer’s basket.
Cook your savory croissants in the air fryer at 375°F for twelve minutes.
Remove them from the fryer, let them cool slightly, and serve.
Notes
You can vary the filling of your savory croissants as you like, with tomato and mozzarella (taking care to drain the mozzarella very well from its preservation liquid and pat it dry with kitchen paper to dry it), salami and provola, vegetables, etc.
