The water cake in an air fryer is a soft pantry cake, easy to make and irresistible.
Egg-free and lactose-free, it’s a simple, light, and soft cake, made indulgent by the presence of dark chocolate chips (which you can also omit for an even lighter version). It’s perfect for breakfast, a snack, or even as a dessert, it prepares in a few minutes and bakes in just half an hour.

- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsps vegetable oil

Preparation of the Water Cake in Air Fryer

Add, without stopping whisking, the sugar, flour, and baking powder. When you have obtained a smooth and lump-free mixture, add the dark chocolate chips and pour it into a greased and floured cake tin suitable for the air fryer.
Place the cake tin in the fryer basket and bake the cake at 320°F for half an hour.
Remove it from the fryer and let it cool completely in the tin before transferring the water cake in the air fryer onto a serving plate or tray and finish it with a dusting of powdered sugar.
