This version with apples is irresistible and perfect for all occasions, for breakfast, as a snack, or as a dessert.

Ingredients
- 3 apples
- 3 eggs
- 150 g brown sugar (+ 2 tablespoons)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 oz butter
- 1 tsp baking powder (a level teaspoon)
- ground cinnamon
- powdered sugar (for decoration)
How to Prepare the Pound Cake with Apples
In a small saucepan, melt the butter cut into pieces over low heat.
In a large bowl, beat the eggs with 150 g of brown sugar until you get a fluffy and frothy mixture.
Add the flour, the baking powder, and a pinch of ground cinnamon, and mix well to blend.Finally, add the melted butter, mixing thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Peel two apples and cut them into cubes.
Add them to the prepared mixture.
Butter and flour a 9-inch cake pan.Pour the batter with the apples.
Peel the last apple and also cut it into cubes.
Distribute the apple cubes over the batter in the cake pan and sprinkle them with two tablespoons of brown sugar and a bit of ground cinnamon.Bake in a preheated static oven at 356°F for about thirty-five minutes: check the cooking with a toothpick.
Remove from the oven, let cool in the pan, then transfer your pound cake with apples to a serving plate.
Finish with powdered sugar to taste and serve.
