Cold Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes and Tuna

Cold pasta with cherry tomatoes and tuna is a tasty summer main course, very easy and quick to prepare.

A cold dish with simple ingredients, almost always available at home, perfect to make in advance and take for lunch at the office or the beach, full of taste and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 320 g pasta
  • 300 g cherry tomatoes
  • 160 g tuna in oil
  • 40 g Taggiasca olives
  • basil
  • oregano
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Cold Pasta with Cherry Tomatoes and Tuna

  • Cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water following the cooking time indicated on the pasta package.
    Meanwhile, wash the tomatoes and cut them into wedges, collecting them in a large bowl.
    Drain the tuna from its preservation oil, break it into pieces, and add it to the cherry tomatoes.

  • Clean a few basil leaves with moistened paper towels, tear them with your hands, and add them to the seasoning.
    Also, add the Taggiasca olives.

  • Drain the pasta, running it under a stream of cold water to stop the cooking, add it to the bowl, and dress with plenty of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of oregano, and mix thoroughly.
    Adjust the salt if necessary and store your cold pasta with cherry tomatoes and tuna in the fridge until ready to serve.
