  • Portions: 6 – 8 servings
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs (small)
  • lemon zest (grated)
  • preserve (or jam of choice)

Preparation of the air fryer tart

  • In a large bowl, put the flour, sugar, and grated lemon zest and mix them.
Make a well in the center and add the vegetable oil, the slightly beaten eggs, and mix with a fork until the liquid ingredients are absorbed.
Then knead by hand until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough.

  • Form a dough ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and let it rest in the refrigerator for half an hour.
After this time, take two-thirds of it and roll it out on a piece of parchment paper to form a disk suitable for lining the bottom and edges of a 8-inch tart pan suitable for the air fryer.
Remove the excess dough and fill it with a jam or preserve of your choice.

  • Cut strips from the remaining dough and arrange them on the filling to form a lattice.
Place the tart pan on the basket of your air fryer and bake the tart at 320°F for twenty minutes.
Remove your air fryer tart from the basket and let it cool completely before transferring it to a serving tray or dish and serving it.
It keeps for a few days under a cake dome.
