Ingredients
- 1.1 lbs fresh calamari
- remilled durum wheat semolina flour
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparing Air Fryer Calamari
Clean the calamari by separating the head and tentacles from the body. Remove the innards and the cartilage pen, peel them, then separate the head from the tentacles and remove the beak. Wash them thoroughly under running water, pat them dry with a clean dish towel, and cut the body into rings.
Coat the created rings and tentacles in remilled durum wheat semolina flour, covering them well on all sides, then remove excess flour.
Spray them with a little extra virgin olive oil and place them in the air fryer basket lined with a sheet of perforated parchment paper without overlapping.Cook them at 392°F for six minutes, or until the desired level of golden brown is reached.
Remove them, transfer to a serving dish, and salt before serving your air fryer calamari.
