Strawberries and cream cups with meringues are a delightful spoon dessert, simple and irresistible.
A delicious and timeless combination, for both young and old, perfect as a Sunday dessert in spring or summer, to delight and refresh the palate. Strawberries contain many vitamins, including a high amount of vitamin C, numerous minerals, and antioxidants, but few calories.

Ingredients
- 1 lbs strawberries
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 3 1/2 oz meringues (click for the perfect homemade recipe)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Preparation of Strawberries and Cream Cups with Meringues
Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and cut them into pieces, keeping a couple aside to decorate the cups.
Place them in a bowl, drizzle with lemon juice, and add the sugar, mixing well.
Let them rest for at least half an hour in the refrigerator.After this time, whip the cream to stiff peaks and crumble the meringues.
Prepare your strawberries and cream cups with meringues: place a layer of meringues in each cup, some dollops of cream, and a generous layer of strawberries, more meringues, cream, strawberries, and so on, finishing with a generous layer of cream. Decorate with the reserved strawberries cut in half.
Store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
