Braised celery with lemon is a tasty side dish, very easy to prepare.
A light, healthy, and purifying side that pairs well with meat dishes, made with a few simple ingredients, almost always in the pantry. Celery has very few calories, is rich in fiber, nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins A and C, potassium, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Ingredients
- 12 stalks celery
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 lemon
- parsley
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt
Preparation of Braised Celery with Lemon
Wash the celery, remove the strings, and cut it into pieces about 2 or 2.5 inches long.
Peel the garlic clove.
In a large pan, heat a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and sauté the garlic.Add the celery pieces, remove the garlic clove, salt, and let it flavor, stirring for a few minutes.
Add a cup of hot water, cover with a lid, and let it cook over medium heat for about twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.Squeeze the lemon.
Remove the pan from heat, dress the celery with lemon juice and chopped parsley to taste.
Serve your braised celery with lemon right away.
