The Christmas sandwich cake is a tasty no-bake appetizer that’s easy to prepare.
Rectangular white sandwich bread and three different fish-based fillings for a perfect Christmas Eve appetizer, ideal for a fish menu, thanks to tuna, salmon, and shrimp. No cooking needed, quick and easy.

Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread (rectangular)
- 2.8 oz smoked salmon
- 4.4 oz shrimps (already boiled and shelled)
- 5.6 oz canned tuna
- 4 tbsp cocktail sauce
- mayonnaise
- green olives (pitted)
- canned sweet corn (drained)
- pomegranate seeds
- soft cheese (a slice)
Preparation of the Christmas Sandwich Cake
Drain the oil from the tuna, break it into pieces, and place it in a bowl. Add a few tablespoons of mayonnaise and mix thoroughly until you get a homogeneous mixture.
In another bowl, mix the shrimp with the cocktail sauce.Place a slice of sandwich bread on a serving tray or plate.
Spread the tuna mixture evenly over the entire slice.
Cover with another slice of bread, pressing gently to make it adhere.
Spread the shrimp mixture over the surface and cover with another slice of bread, pressing gently.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise over the slice and place the smoked salmon on top, covering the entire bread slice without leaving gaps.Spread mayonnaise on the last slice of bread and place it on the salmon, making the mayonnaise side adhere to the salmon.
Press gently to compact the cake.
Spread another thin layer of mayonnaise on the top slice of bread.
For the decoration as in the photo, cut the olives in half and create a Christmas tree.Place some pomegranate seeds in the gaps left by the olives.
Using a star-shaped cookie cutter, cut a small star from a slice of soft cheese and place it on the olive Christmas tree.
Finish by placing corn kernels in the empty spaces, filling the top of the cake completely, like a mosaic.
Store your Christmas sandwich cake in the refrigerator until serving time.
