The alchermes crinkle cookies are delicious little cookies with a crunchy shell and a soft center, tasty and easy to make.
Alchermes is a liqueur widely used in pastry making, for example, to prepare syrups, to color bases, to enrich creams, etc. It has a very sweet, almost caramel-like flavor.
The crinkle cookies made with it are very tasty and perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack, or as a dessert, accompanied by a herbal tea or a good tea.
Read how to make alchermes crinkle cookies with the recipe below, as usual, right after the photo 😉

- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 tbsp alchermes
- 1 tsp baking powder

Preparation of Alchermes Crinkle Cookies
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the butter and sugar into a cream.
Add the egg, alchermes, flour, and baking powder and mix until you obtain a smooth, soft, and homogeneous dough.
Form a dough ball and wrap it in some plastic wrap.
Let it rest in the fridge for at least one hour.At the end of the resting time, place some granulated sugar on a plate and powdered sugar on another plate.
Form dough balls the size of a cherry and roll them first in the granulated sugar, covering them on all sides, and then in the powdered sugar, covering them completely.
Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, keeping them spaced apart as they will expand during baking.Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) in static mode for twelve minutes until golden.
Remove from the oven, let them cool on a wire rack, and then serve your alchermes crinkle cookies.
Store them in an airtight container or a tin box.
