Ingredients

  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 18 oz tomato passata
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/2 onion
  • oregano
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Chicken Thighs in Tomato Sauce

  • Remove the skin from the chicken and discard it (to make this operation easier, use some kitchen paper to get a good grip).
Clean the onion and slice it thinly.

  • In a large non-stick pan, pour some extra virgin olive oil and let the onion turn golden.
Add the chicken and let it brown on all sides.
Deglaze with white wine and when it has evaporated, add the tomato passata and a bit of dried oregano.

  • Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for about forty minutes over low heat, turning it occasionally and adding a little water if the cooking base dries out too much.
When the chicken is cooked, adjust the salt and serve your chicken thighs in tomato sauce, hot.
