Meringue kisses are irresistible treats, both spectacular and delicious.

Two small, crunchy, and light meringues joined by a layer of Nutella or your favorite hazelnut cream for a delicious treat perfect for a sweet indulgence at any moment of the day.

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz egg whites
  • 7 oz sugar
  • Nutella (or your favorite hazelnut cream)

Preparation of Meringue Kisses

  • In a large bowl, place the egg whites and start whipping them with an electric mixer, starting at low speed and gradually increasing until they form a soft foam.
    Add half of the sugar, continuing to whip until a firm and compact mixture is obtained (this will take at least ten minutes).

  • Add the remaining sugar, mixing again with the mixer for at least a minute to dissolve it.
    Transfer the mixture into a pastry bag with a star nozzle and, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, create your meringues.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 212°F in static mode for ninety minutes with the door slightly ajar to let out the moisture.

  • Once the cooking time is over, remove the meringues from the oven and let them cool completely.
    Fill the base of one meringue with Nutella (or the hazelnut cream you prefer) and cover it with another meringue, thus creating your treats.
    Store the meringue kisses under a cake dome or in a tin box for a maximum of a couple of days.
