Baked Pasta with Peppers

Baked pasta with peppers is a tasty main dish, easy and quick to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz pasta
  • 14 oz peppers
  • Half onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3.5 oz Parmesan (grated)
  • 5.3 oz mozzarella
  • basil
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt

Preparation of Baked Pasta with Peppers

  • Drain the mozzarella from its preserving liquid and chop it.
    Wash the peppers, remove the stem and filaments, and chop them into cubes.
    Clean the garlic and onion and chop them.

  • In a large pan or wok, heat a base of extra virgin olive oil and brown the chopped garlic and onion on low heat.
    Add the peppers and a few basil leaves, adjust the salt, mix thoroughly, and cover the pan with a lid.
    Let it cook on low flame for about ten minutes.
    Meanwhile, cook the pasta in plenty of salted boiling water for a couple of minutes less than the cooking time indicated on the pasta package itself.

  • Drain it and add it to the peppers along with half of the grated cheese specified in the recipe and mix thoroughly.
    Pour half of the seasoned pasta into a baking dish, cover it with half of the mozzarella quantity specified in the recipe, and cover it with the remaining pasta.
    Sprinkle the surface with the rest of the mozzarella and the remaining grated cheese.

  • Bake in a preheated static oven at 392°F for about ten minutes, until the surface is golden brown.
    Serve immediately, piping hot, your baked pasta with peppers.
