Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (00 flour)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 7 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 1 packet vanillin
- 1 tsp baking powder
- powdered sugar (for decoration)
- Nutella (for filling)
Preparation of Nutella Button Cookies
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, vanillin, and baking powder.
Add the softened butter cut into chunks and knead until you get a sandy mixture.
Add the egg and knead firmly until you have a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Form a dough ball, wrap it in a sheet of plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for an hour.
After this time, take the dough and break off pieces of about 3/4 oz each.
Form into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, keeping them spaced apart.
Once you have formed all the balls, use the end of a wooden spoon to create an indentation in the center of each cookie, gently pressing into the center of each ball.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 350°F for fifteen minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack.
Dust them with powdered sugar and fill them with a dollop of Nutella in the indentation created in the cookie.
Serve your Nutella button cookies.
