Tuna Truffles

Tuna truffles are delightful bites made with tuna and cheese, tasty finger food that is very easy to prepare.

No cooking required and full of flavor with just a few simple ingredients, they are a perfect appetizer that goes well with aperitifs, for a refreshing happy hour, or to enrich a buffet for a party, and they are very quick to make.

Ingredients

  • 2.8 oz tuna in oil
  • 3.5 oz spreadable cheese (such as Philadelphia or ricotta or robiola according to your taste)
  • 3.5 oz sandwich bread
  • parsley
  • chopped hazelnuts (or chopped pistachios or breadcrumbs as desired)

Preparation of Tuna Truffles

  • Drain the tuna from the preservation oil and place it in the mixer.

    Add the broken sandwich bread, spreadable cheese, and a little parsley.

    Turn on the device, blending until you get a homogeneous mixture.

  • Place a little chopped hazelnuts on a flat plate.

  • Take a little mixture at a time and form balls the size of a walnut, rolling them on the chopped nuts until they are completely covered on all sides.

    Place your tuna truffles thus created on a tray or plate without overlapping them and let them rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour before serving.
