Ingredients

  • 5.3 oz dark chocolate
  • 1.6 oz puffed rice
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 3.5 oz condensed milk (click for the super easy recipe to make it at home)
  • dark chocolate flakes
  • syruped sour cherries

Preparation of Puffed Rice Baskets with Easy Ice Cream

  • Prepare the baskets.
Chop the dark chocolate into pieces and melt it in a double boiler or in the microwave.
In a large bowl, thoroughly mix the puffed rice with the melted chocolate.

Distribute the mixture into 6 aluminum molds, and with the back of a teaspoon press on the bottom and sides, creating a hollow in the center to shape your baskets.
Place the molds in the freezer while you prepare the ice cream.

Whip the very cold cream from the fridge with electric beaters to stiff peaks, then add the condensed milk in a thin stream while continuing to use the beaters until you get a thick and homogeneous mixture.
Transfer the mixture into a piping bag with a star nozzle and distribute it into the previously created puffed rice baskets.

Put the filled molds back in the freezer for at least three hours.
After this time, your puffed rice baskets with ice cream are ready to be served, garnished as desired with syruped sour cherries and chocolate flakes, or according to your imagination or taste.
