Crispy Pan Potatoes

The crispy pan potatoes are a perfect side dish to pair practically with everything and can be enjoyed in every season! They are perfect with both meat and fish dishes, but they are also delicious on their own! My kids love them! They remain soft inside and crispy outside. It’s perhaps the most loved side dish by everyone, easy and quick to prepare. Here are some ideas for easy and quick side dishes in the pan:

Ingredients to prepare crispy pan potatoes

  • 7 oz potatoes (already peeled)
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • 1.35 oz water
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Steps to make crispy pan potatoes

  • To prepare the crispy pan potatoes, first peel the potatoes, wash them well, and cut them into wedges, first in half and then lengthwise. Then take a non-stick pan and pour in some extra virgin olive oil, add 1 sprig of rosemary and after a minute add the potatoes and sauté for a couple of minutes, season with salt and pepper, and then add water. Mix gently with a wooden spoon, then cover and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes, turning the potatoes occasionally.

  • When the water has evaporated, remove the lid and fry the potatoes on high heat until they become golden brown. Move them often or toss them to flavor well. Your potatoes are ready to be enjoyed!

Storage and tips

Crispy potatoes are delicious when freshly prepared, but if you have leftovers, you can store them in the refrigerator for a day in an airtight container.
