The panettone rum chocolates are a delicious dessert, perfect for creatively and deliciously using up leftovers of a holiday classic.
How many times, after Christmas, do we find ourselves wondering how to consume the remaining panettone? Throwing away such a good product would be a real shame. That’s why panettone chocolates are a genius and irresistible solution. Not only do they give new life to leftovers, but they also allow you to create a unique dessert that will win over everyone, from adults to children (of course, for the kids, you can omit the rum!).
The strength of this recipe lies in its balance. The panettone, with its mix of raisins and candied fruits, finds a perfect ally in dark chocolate, which makes a unique filling and wraps each chocolate in a crispy and irresistible shell. The rum, with its aromatic and slightly spicy notes, adds a touch of elegance that makes these treats perfect even for a homemade gift.
Whether you serve them as a dessert after a dinner with friends, as a personal sweet treat, or as a delicious thought to bring to a party, these bonbons are always a winning choice. They are easy and quick to prepare, and the result is guaranteed: a mix of flavors and a creamy texture that surprises and delights.
The recipe is simple and doesn’t require special cooking skills. You just need to crumble the panettone, mix it with melted chocolate to obtain a soft and malleable base, and add rum to enhance the flavor. Then comes the fun part: forming small squares or rectangles to cover with more chocolate and decorate with pistachio crumbs and grated coconut.
Panettone treats represent the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. They prove that even holiday leftovers can become the stars of surprising recipes, capable of bringing a touch of magic even to the most ordinary days.

- 5 oz dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup pistachio crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated coconut (rapé)
Preparation of Panettone Rum Chocolates
First, melt 7 oz of dark chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave.

Continue preparing the chocolates this way until the mixture is used up (you should have 30 pieces), and place them on a tray covered with parchment paper. Let them set in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Now, melt the remaining dark chocolate and use it to cover the chocolates. Finally, decorate one half with pistachio crumbs and the other half with grated coconut.Place them on the tray again and let them rest for 15 minutes at room temperature.
