Ingredients

  • 1.76 oz instant coffee
  • 1 cup water
  • 7.05 oz granulated sugar
  • as needed powdered sugar

Preparation Faux coffee ice cream

  • Pour the instant coffee and granulated sugar into a bowl, preferably stainless steel and wide.

  • Then add the cold water from the fridge.

    Blend with electric whisks.

  • It will take about 10 minutes or until the coffee cream becomes fluffy and dense enough.

  • To ensure the cream is well whipped, you can test by turning the bowl upside down. If it does not fall, it is ready.

  • Pour the cream into plastic or glass containers suitable for the freezer.

    Cover with the lid and store in the freezer for at least 3 hours.

  • After 3 hours, remove from the freezer and serve, dusting the portions with powdered sugar.

    And voilà… your faux coffee ice cream is ready to be served.

Useful Tips

If you prefer, you can use decaffeinated coffee but not coffee from the coffee maker as it won’t whip.

If possible, leave the stainless steel bowl in the freezer or fridge for about 5/10 minutes before use, it will be easier to whip.
