Preparation of Puff Pastry Breadsticks with Pesto

  • First, remove the puff pastry from the package and let it rest at room temperature for about 10 minutes before using it. This will prevent it from cracking when unrolled due to being too cold.

  • Now let’s proceed with the recipe for these fantastic puff pastry breadsticks with pesto.

Unroll the rectangle of puff pastry and spread a generous layer of pesto over the entire surface.

  • Once you have spread the pesto, sprinkle everything with the grated Grana Padano.

  • Now fold the puff pastry over itself like a book and use a fluted pastry wheel to cut out your puff pastry breadsticks about 1 cm (0.4 in) wide. You will get 10 or 11 with this measurement.

  • Place the puff pastry breadsticks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 356°F (180°C) for 15 minutes.

Once cooked, let them cool for a couple of minutes before transferring them to a serving plate.
