The water-based cocoa glaze is a delicious sauce you can use to decorate your desserts. It’s very easy to make!
For example, I used it to garnish this Water-based Cocoa Cake! I’ll leave the link below:
- Cost: Very economical
- Preparation time: 5 Minutes
- Portions: 10
- Cooking methods: Boiling
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp water
Tools
- 1 Small bowl
- 1 Small pot
- 1 Spoon
Steps
To create this water glaze, weigh all the ingredients as per the recipe.
Mix the powdered sugar and cocoa powder well, breaking any lumps with a spoon.
Heat the water in a small pot.
When it’s hot, pour it in small doses into the powder mixture and mix well.
You can add more water if it seems too thick and firm.
Or you can use less water if you want it to drip less.
Storage, notes, and tips
This cocoa sauce is really simple to make, just adjust the water according to the consistency you want to achieve.
You can use the water glaze to garnish spoon desserts, panna cotta, cheesecake, puddings, etc.
I do not recommend it for decorating cookies because it will remain moist.
