Halloween Puff Pastry Hand

The Halloween puff pastry hand is a sweet treat made with puff pastry, simple, delicious, and above all, spooky! Make this dessert with your children, and they’ll be thrilled! It’s a simple, quick, and tasty idea that can be prepared in no time. For the hand shape, you can first prepare a paper or cardboard template with the shape, then place it on the puff pastry and cut it out with a knife; I used a smooth-bladed knife. For the filling, I chose raspberry jam, but you can also use cherry or mixed berries jam. If you want some simple and quick Halloween ideas, you can also try:

Ingredients to prepare the Halloween puff pastry hand

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • as needed raspberry jam

Tools

  • Parchment paper
  • Baking tray
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Steps to make the Halloween puff pastry hand

  • To prepare the Halloween puff pastry hand, first, take a rectangular sheet of puff pastry, unroll it and place it on the work surface or a cutting board with parchment paper. Cut out 2 hands, using the hand template you created earlier. With the leftover puff pastry, you can create small Halloween shapes and fill them as you like. Fill it now with raspberry jam, but if you prefer, you can also fill it with cherry or mixed berries jam. Put enough jam in the center of the pastry, or else too little will come out when cutting. Now close the hand with the second one you made and seal the edges well with the tines of a fork. Brush the hand with some milk.

  • Preheat the static oven to 350°F and bake the hand for about 15-20 minutes, depending on the oven. Check the baking; it should be golden. I baked it for 20 minutes. The Halloween puff pastry hand is now ready to be served! Spooky!

Storage and Tips

You can store the hand in an airtight container for one day.

If you find the jam is too little, you can add more on top after baking, when you make the hand’s cut.
