Porridge with Oats, Banana, and Kiwi

The porridge with oats, banana, and kiwi is a delicious, healthy breakfast idea. This oatmeal soup with banana and kiwi is great for starting with the right energy intake! Porridge is, in fact, the traditional Anglo-Saxon breakfast. I prepared it with rolled oats, water, milk, some honey, 1 banana, and 1 kiwi. These are servings for 2 people. You can then use the milk you prefer, I used whole milk, but you can use semi-skimmed milk or a plant-based milk.

Ingredients for making porridge with oats, banana, and kiwi

  • 3.5 oz rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons acacia honey
  • 1 banana
  • 1 kiwi
  • 2/3 cup milk

Steps to make porridge with oats, banana, and kiwi

  • To make the porridge with oats, banana, and kiwi, first peel a banana, slice it into rounds, and add a squeeze of lemon to prevent it from browning. Peel the kiwi with a knife or peeler and slice it into fairly thin slices, then cut it into pieces if you wish.

    Now put the water, whole milk, and rolled oats in a small pot. Mix well with a wooden spoon and cook it on low heat for 5 minutes. It should become quite thick. You can adjust the cooking level to your preference, whether thicker or more liquid.

  • When it’s ready, turn off the heat and add 1 heaping tablespoon or 2 of honey, and serve it in a bowl by placing fresh fruit on top. The porridge with oats, banana, and kiwi is ready. You can eat it hot or cold. Enjoy your breakfast!

I recommend preparing and serving it immediately

If you wish, you can use brown sugar instead of honey

You can choose whole milk, semi-skimmed, or plant-based milk
