Air Fryer Fennel

Fennel prepared in the air fryer, crispy and rich in flavor thanks to the spices we use to season it. An original and tasty side dish, also ideal for appetizers or aperitifs, perhaps served in small portions that are easy to eat as finger food. Light and easy to prepare, you can serve them in just 15 minutes. Delicious when hot, air fryer fennel is still tasty at room temperature, although they lose their crunchiness once cooled. However, their vibrant flavor will always be appreciated.

Ingredients

  • 1 fennel
  • salt
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • 2 pinches sweet paprika
  • pepper
  • 1 drizzle extra virgin olive oil

Tools

  • 1 Air Fryer

Preparation

  • Remove the outer leaves of the fennel, the tougher ones, and slice it thinly. Wash it thoroughly under running water and transfer it to a bowl. Add salt, pepper, a pinch of ginger, a little sweet paprika, and a drizzle of oil, then mix everything well.

  • Place the fennel directly in the air fryer basket and cook for about 10 minutes at 356°F. Halfway through cooking, check and, if necessary, stir slightly. The fennel will be ready when it is golden brown.

NOTES

The fennel prepared this way can be served as a side dish for other dishes or as an ingredient for appetizers and aperitifs. Thanks to its bold flavor, it is perfect for starting the meal. I recommend slicing it thinly to achieve a crispy fennel at the end of cooking.
