Coconut and Chocolate Treats

The coconut and chocolate treats are easy to make and require only four ingredients.

For this recipe, you will need egg whites, shredded coconut, sugar, and chocolate for garnish.

The mixture is briefly cooked on the stove to remove excess moisture, leaving a sticky, sweet, and moist dough. Once balls are formed, they will be baked in the oven and then garnished with chocolate.

After you try these treats, you won’t be able to resist them!

Coconut and Chocolate Treats

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups shredded coconut
  • 3 units egg whites
  • 0.3 cups sugar
  • 2 oz milk chocolate (or dark)

Tools

  • Spatula
  • Small Pot
  • Ice Cream Scoop

Steps

  • To make the coconut and chocolate treats, pour the egg whites, coconut, and sugar into a small pot.

  • Place on the stove over low heat and cook for 5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

  • Pour the mixture onto a plate and let it cool in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

  • Then, with the help of an ice cream scoop, form balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 300°F for 30 minutes until golden. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool.

  • Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Dip the base of the treats in the melted chocolate and place them on parchment paper.

  • Garnish the top with the remaining chocolate and let them rest. Enjoy!
