Pasta with Bacon and Friggitelli Cream

Pasta with bacon and friggitelli cream is a first course with a unique and irresistible flavor.

This recipe is very easy to make and takes just a few minutes. I cooked the friggitelli in a pan and then blended them with grated Parmesan to create a cream. Separately, I browned the bacon and then combined everything.

I obtained a captivating and tasty dish: every forkful will be a joy for the palate!

Pasta with Bacon and Friggitelli Cream

Ingredients

  • 7 oz pasta
  • 7 oz friggitelli
  • 3.5 oz bacon
  • 0.7 oz grated Parmesan
  • to taste onion
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt

Steps

  • To make pasta with bacon and friggitelli cream, wash and clean the friggitelli, remove the stalk and seeds, and cut them into quarters or strips.

  • In a pan, slightly sauté the chopped onion with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

  • Add the friggitelli and cook over low heat. The vegetable should slightly wilt but remain crunchy.

  • Then pour the friggitelli into the blender bowl, also add the Parmesan, and blend until you get a creamy mixture. If necessary, add some pasta cooking water.

  • Cut the bacon into cubes and brown it in a pan until it becomes crispy.

  • Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water; once cooked (preferably al dente), drain it and pour it into the pan with the bacon.

  • Stir for a few minutes, then remove the pan from the heat and incorporate the friggitelli cream.

  • If necessary, add some cooking water to help blend the cream with the pasta.

  • Serve and enjoy your meal!
