Tiramisu Truffles

The tiramisu truffles are delightful treats made without baking, without eggs, and with the same ingredients as the classic tiramisu.

This recipe is easy and quick to make: simply combine the ingredients, shape into balls, and roll them in cocoa powder.

I recommend letting them rest in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving, although it will be hard to resist!

Tiramisu Truffles
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Inexpensive
  • Rest time: 2 Hours
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 10 pieces
  • Cooking methods: No baking

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz mascarpone (or ricotta or cream cheese)
  • 7 oz ladyfingers (or plain cookies)
  • 0.7 oz espresso coffee
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp liqueur (optional)
  • to taste unsweetened cocoa powder

Tools

  • Mixer
  • Spatula

Steps

  • To make the tiramisu truffles, first prepare the coffee, then pour it into a bowl to let it cool. You can add some liqueur if you like; I used anise liqueur.

  • Place the ladyfingers in a mixer container and blend them until they become powder. Meanwhile, transfer the mascarpone into a bowl, add the coffee, and mix.

  • Also add the sugar and mix everything with a spatula until you get a homogeneous consistency. Then add the powdered ladyfingers.

  • Combine the ingredients; when the mixture is compact, take about a teaspoon of it and shape it into a ball.

  • Roll each ball in cocoa and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.

  • Let them rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Enjoy!
