Wash the bell peppers, removing all seeds. Cut the peppers in a non-stick pan, add the sliced onion, salt, oil, and 1/2 glass of water, and place on the stovetop. Sauté over high heat for about 5′ until all the water has evaporated.
When the peppers are well sautéed, add the heaping teaspoon of sugar and three tablespoons of vinegar, lower the stovetop flame to medium and complete the cooking, which should take about 20′.
