- Portions: 3
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
- Seasonality: All seasons
Ingredients for Beer Pork Chops
- 3 pork chops (medium thickness, total weight about 1.15 lbs)
- 1/2 cup light beer
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves red garlic
- to taste fine salt
- to taste mixed peppercorns (freshly ground)
Useful Tools
- Pan
- Tongs
- Parchment Paper
- Aluminum Foil
Preparation of Beer Pork Chops
Place the oil in a pan, add the peeled garlic cloves, lay the pork chops then salt and pepper them on the surface.
Place on the stove over high heat, cook for 3 minutes, then turn them over with kitchen tongs and cook for another 3 minutes.
After the last 3 minutes, lower the heat to medium, pour the beer and continue cooking (turning the chops occasionally) until the beer has evaporated (the chops will now be cooked).
Turn off the heat; cover the chops (placing on top) with a sheet of parchment paper and then with a piece of aluminum foil, let rest this way for 4/5 minutes, then serve. This little trick ensures the meat stays soft, juicy, and not dry! Enjoy your meal!
