Noodles with Peanut Sauce

The noodles with peanut sauce are a creamy main dish typical of oriental cuisine. Making this recipe is very easy: the noodles are seasoned with a sauce based on peanut butter, soy sauce, and coconut milk. With an exotic flavor, these noodles are a great alternative for serving a tasty and quick main dish.

Noodles with Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 7.1 oz noodles
  • 1.4 oz peanut butter
  • 1.1 oz soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsps coconut milk
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • as needed sesame seeds
  • as needed fresh scallion

Steps

  • To prepare the noodles with peanut sauce, heat the vegetable oil in a pan over low heat, then add the chopped garlic and ginger, allowing it to brown for a few seconds.

  • Then add the soy sauce, peanut butter, and coconut milk. Mix and adjust the consistency with water: it should be a creamy and thick sauce.

  • Cook over medium-low heat and stir occasionally for 5 minutes.

  • Cook the noodles in salted boiling water according to the package instructions, and drain them al dente.

  • Season the noodles with the sauce, stir to combine everything. Serve with sesame seeds and chopped fresh scallion leaves. Enjoy!
