Chocolate Brownies with Caramelized Peaches

The chocolate brownies with caramelized peaches are chocolate treats enriched with ricotta cream and caramelized peaches. The ricotta cream is prepared separately and then poured over the brownie mixture before baking. I served the brownies with caramelized peaches: a mix of flavor and taste that will tantalize your taste buds!

Chocolate Brownies with Caramelized Peaches

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 7 oz ricotta
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 peaches
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp peach jam (or other type)

Steps

  • To make the chocolate brownies with caramelized peaches, first prepare the brownie mixture. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar.

  • Melt the chocolate with the butter in a bain-marie, then mix it with the egg and sugar mixture.

  • Finally, incorporate the flour and unsweetened cocoa. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Pour the mixture into a baking pan (8×8 inches) lined with parchment paper and pour the previously made mixture on top.

  • In a bowl, beat the egg with the sugar, then add the ricotta and mix to obtain a creamy mixture. Pour the ricotta cream over the brownie mixture.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30 minutes. Insert a toothpick to check if it is done; it should come out with few crumbs. Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool.

  • Clean the peaches and cut them into cubes, place them in a saucepan with the sugar and heat over low flame.

  • Stir occasionally until the mixture begins to boil. Let it cook for about 10 minutes or until it starts to thicken.

  • Add the jam and mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
    Remove from the heat and pour over the brownies before serving. Enjoy!
