The baked gratinated fennels are a delicious side dish with an irresistible flavor. I sliced the fennels, blanched them, and then baked them with oil, breadcrumbs, and grated pecorino. Once out of the oven, the fennels will have a golden, crispy crust: one bite leads to another!

Ingredients
- 2 fennels
- 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs (gluten-free for celiacs)
- 2 tablespoons grated pecorino
- as needed extra virgin olive oil
Steps
To prepare the baked gratinated fennels, carefully clean the fennels, rinse them, and cut them into slices.
Blanch the fennels for two minutes in boiling water. Then drain them and dry them with paper towels.
Pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil on the bottom of the baking dish, along with some breadcrumbs and grated pecorino.
Place the fennels inside the baking dish and season them with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, some breadcrumbs, and grated pecorino.
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 20 minutes, until gratinated.
Serve and enjoy your meal!
