Dessert with Cream, Panettone, and Cherries

The dessert with cream, panettone, and cherries is an ideal spoon dessert to serve at the end of meals to your guests during the holidays. I used glasses in which I made a layer of panettone cubes, a layer of diplomatic cream, and garnished with cherries. With this dessert, you will enrich your holiday menus with great success!

5 Desserts with Panettone: Easy and Delicious to Make After the Holidays

Dessert with Custard, Panettone, and Cherries
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Cheap
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Portions: 3 people

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz panettone
  • as needed cherries with syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3.5 oz whipping cream

Tools

  • Mixer
  • Glasses

Steps

  • To make the dessert with cream, panettone, and cherries, first prepare the cream.

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan with the vanilla extract, place over low heat, and bring to a simmer.

  • In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with the sugar and incorporate the flour, mixing well to avoid lumps.

  • Pour a little hot milk into the bowl with the egg mixture and stir. Add the remaining milk (removing the lemon peel, if used) and mix quickly, pour everything back into the saucepan, and let thicken while continuing to stir.

  • When the cream is thick, pour it into a bowl and cover with cling film in contact with the surface and let it cool.

  • Alternatively, you can make a lactose and gluten-free pastry cream.

  • Whip the cream and fold it into the pastry cream, mixing from bottom to top until a firm and fluffy cream is obtained.

  • Cut the panettone into cubes and form a layer at the base of the cups or glasses. Then make a layer of cream and add a spoonful of cherries.

  • Form another layer of panettone cubes, then cream, and finish with a spoonful of cherries and finely crumbled panettone.

  • Let it rest in the fridge for a couple of hours. Enjoy!
