Peanut and Chocolate Bars

Peanut and chocolate bars are delicious treats, perfect for recharging your energy mid-day. These bars feature a crunchy biscuit base, topped with caramel and peanuts, and finally coated with a milk chocolate and peanut butter. Easy to make, these bars will be appreciated by both kids and adults!

Peanut and Chocolate Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2.8 oz brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3.4 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • to taste caramel
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 7 oz milk chocolate
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter)

Preparation

  • To make the peanut and chocolate bars, pour the egg and brown sugar into a bowl. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until creamy.

  • Then add the vanilla extract, peanut butter (or almond butter) and sunflower oil. Continue mixing the ingredients.

  • Finally, add the baking powder and gradually the flour. Mix until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

  • Pour the mixture into an 8×8 inch baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 20-25 minutes, until golden.

  • Once baked, remove and let cool. Then create a layer of caramel and peanuts.

  • In a bowl, pour the milk chocolate along with the peanut butter (or almond butter). Melt in a double boiler and then pour it over the peanuts.

  • Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until it solidifies.

  • Remove from the mold and cut the bars. Enjoy!
