Peanut and Chocolate Bars

Peanut and chocolate bars are delightful treats, perfect for recharging your energy midday. These bars feature a crunchy cookie base, then topped with caramel and peanuts, and finally covered with a glaze of milk chocolate and peanut butter. Easy to make, these bars will be appreciated by both kids and adults!

Peanut and Chocolate Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 3/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sunflower oil
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • to taste caramel
  • 1 oz peanuts
  • 7 oz milk chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (or almond butter)

Preparation

  • To make the peanut and chocolate bars, pour the egg and brown sugar into a bowl. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until you get a creamy mixture.

  • Then add the vanilla extract, peanut butter (or almond butter), and sunflower oil. Continue mixing the ingredients.

  • Finally, add the baking powder and gradually the flour. Mix until you get a smooth dough.

  • Pour the dough into a 8×8 inch baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 392°F for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool. Then add a layer of caramel and peanuts.

  • In a bowl, pour the milk chocolate along with the peanut butter (or almond butter). Melt it in a double boiler and then pour it over the peanuts.

  • Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until it solidifies.

  • Remove from the mold and cut the bars. Enjoy!
