PEAR AND CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE WITH AIR FRYER: Soft, fragrant, and super easy!

in ,

The pear and chocolate bundt cake with air fryer is one of those recipes that wins everyone over at the first bite: simple to prepare, wholesome, and with that irresistible combination of fresh fruit and chocolate that feels like home comfort.
The sweet pears blend with the intense flavor of dark chocolate, creating a moist and aromatic batter. Thanks to the air fryer, the bundt cake bakes evenly, remaining soft inside and slightly golden outside, without the need for a traditional oven.
The pear and chocolate bundt cake cooked with an air fryer is perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a sweet touch after dinner. You’ll fall in love with its simplicity and speed in preparation, but especially for the aroma it releases as soon as you cut it. One slice leads to another — as those who’ve tried it can attest!

  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Cooking methods: Air Frying
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp instant baking powder
  • 2 eggs (large)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup sunflower oil
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tbsp rum (or a vial of rum flavoring)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch fine salt
  • 3 pears (2-3 pears approx., depending on size)
  • 2/3 cup dark chocolate (chopped into small pieces or ready-made chocolate chips)

Steps

  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, then add the sugar, sunflower oil, milk, rum, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.

After preparing the liquid ingredients, add the sifted flour, cornstarch, and baking powder, and mix well to make the batter smooth and homogeneous.

Finally, add the chopped dark chocolate or chocolate chips to the batter, as they are easier to use.

  • Peel the pears. You’ll need 3-4 depending on their size. Dice one and slice the others into wedges that are neither too thin nor too thick.

Pour the batter into a bundt pan suitable for your air fryer’s basket. I use a 20 cm (8-inch) diameter pan, previously sprayed with a release agent or greased and floured.

Smooth the batter in the pan by tapping it on the work surface, and randomly insert the diced pears into the batter.

Arrange the remaining pear wedges in a radial pattern on the bundt cake (as you can see in the photo).

  • Preheat the air fryer to 320°F for 3 minutes.

Place the bundt cake in the basket and bake at 320°F for 25-30 minutes. Always perform the toothpick test by inserting it all the way to ensure it’s cooked through.

Once baked, let it cool before removing it from the pan. As you can see in the photo, my love for chocolate is evident… I brushed the bundt cake with a bit of Nutella!
