This week’s recipe is simple yet surprisingly full of flavor: steamed and seasoned eggs, made with the special insert of the Monsieur Cuisine Smart.
A gentle cooking method that enhances the softness of the egg and retains all the aroma of herbs and spices.

Why steam the eggs?
Steaming ensures a uniform and creamy result without drying out the egg white. Moreover, thanks to direct flavoring – with herbs, spices, and seasonings of your choice – the egg absorbs aromas delicately and naturally.
Customize your recipe:
I chose to use a mix of parsley, garlic powder, ground black pepper, and a pinch of salt, but feel free to unleash your imagination with:
basil, turmeric, oregano, fennel seeds, ginger, paprika, curry… the combinations are endless!

Ingredients
- 5 medium eggs (or large or small)
- q. b. aromatic herbs to taste (I used parsley, garlic powder, pepper, salt)
- olive oil (to grease the molds)
- 2.11 cups water (for the base of the Monsieur Cuisine pitcher)
Steps
1 – Prepare the insert molds:
With a brush, lightly grease the containers with EVO oil (this helps to better unmold the eggs).
2 – Add the seasonings:
Sprinkle the bottom of the containers with herbs and spices of your choice. Also, add a pinch of salt.2 – Break the eggs:
Pour a whole egg into each mold. Do not mix.
3 – Prepare the Monsieur Cuisine Smart:
Select the Boil Eggs program. Pour 2.11 cups of water into the pitcher. Place the egg steaming insert inside the pitcher.
3 – Set:
On the program screen, set the size of the eggs: medium (or small or large). Set the type of cooking: slightly cooked (with creamy yolk), medium cooking (with soft yolk), or completely hard-boiled. Close the lid of the pitcher with the measuring cup inserted and start the cooking program.
4 – Remove the egg steaming insert:
Open the pitcher lid, hook the central ring of the insert with a fork and lift it to remove.
5 – Serve and enjoy:
Gently remove the eggs from the individual molds, let them cool for a minute, and serve immediately. Excellent with salad, toasted bread, or rice.
💡 Extra Tips:
For a gourmet touch, add a sprinkle of grated parmesan or drops of soy sauce before cooking.
You can also add diced vegetables, cooked ham, or cheese for a richer version.
