The yogurt cake with air fryer is prepared in a few minutes and baked in a round pan with a diameter of 7-8 inches, such as the aluminum pan I usually use, or with one of the accessories for round or square air fryers.
Don’t think that the recipe ingredients are few or that the pan is small, because you will get 4-8 servings. By the way, in all my air fryer recipes, I use a COSORI 5.5 liter 1700-watt air fryer with a single resistance, fantastic, and non-stick pans in carbon steel or aluminum, because they are excellent heat conductors.
- Difficulty: Very easy
- Cost: Very cheap
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Portions: 6Pieces
- Cooking methods: Air frying
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 tbsp potato starch (or cornstarch Maizena)
- 6 tbsp plus 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp honey (1 tablespoon)
- 1/2 cup yogurt (1 container, plain)
- 6 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder (1/2 packet)
- 1 packet vanillin (powdered)
- as needed powdered sugar
Steps
Place the yogurt, oil, eggs, and honey in a bowl and mix everything with a fork.
Next, add the sifted flour, potato starch, sugar, sifted baking powder, and vanillin, then mix the ingredients well with the fork until smooth and homogeneous.
Grease and flour a round pan with a diameter of 7-8 inches; if you have a release spray, spray it over the entire surface of the pan.
Pour the cake batter into the center of the pan and spread it to the edges, then gently tap the pan on the work surface to raise any air bubbles.
Preheat the air fryer to 320°F for 3 minutes.
Place the pan in the air fryer’s basket and bake the yogurt cake at 320°F for 30 minutes, until golden. Depending on the various models and especially the power of the air fryers, you might need an additional 5 minutes of baking.
Do not open the air fryer before the time is up. Test with a toothpick at the end of baking, and if necessary, continue for another 5 minutes.
Let the cake cool, then remove it from the mold by inverting it onto a serving platter.
I’ll show you the perfect baking of the base of my cake, which you will also achieve using a suitable pan and a good air fryer with at least 1500 watts of power.
When the cake has cooled, sprinkle it with a generous amount of powdered sugar and serve.
You will get 4 large slices of cake or 8 slices, which isn’t bad for an air fryer, quickly and without turning on the home oven. Enjoy the cake, everyone!!!
