Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 cup chestnut flour
- 2 tbsps corn starch
Steps
In a small bowl, put 1/3 cup of chestnut flour and 2 tablespoons of corn starch.
Mix the powders together, then add 1/2 cup of water and blend well.
Place the remaining water, 1 1/2 cups, in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
When the water starts to boil, pour in the flour and starch mixture and stir well.
Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking, until it thickens and becomes gelatinous.
Turn off the heat, and pour it while still hot into a bowl or molds of your choice, previously moistened with water.
Let it cool and then put it in the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours.
Serve it cold, plain, or with ginger syrup, maple syrup, or simply with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
