Ingredients

  • 1 slice sandwich bread (rectangular)
  • 10 slices Milano salami
  • cream cheese

Preparation of Santa Claus Hats

  • Place the sandwich bread on the work surface and using a round cookie cutter with a 1 1/2 inch diameter, cut out 10 disks.
Soften the cream cheese by working it into a cream with a fork.
Spread one side of the bread disk with a layer of cream cheese.

  • Using kitchen scissors, make a cut in each slice of salami from the edge to the center. Take one of the flaps created and roll it up to form a cone.
Place the salami cone on the cheese-spread disk, pressing gently to adhere.

  • Put some tablespoons of cream cheese in a pastry bag with a small star tip and create a tuft of cheese on the tip of the salami cone.
Store the Santa Claus Hats in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
