Puff Pastry Bundles with Cabbage, Cheese, and Salami

Puff pastry bundles with cabbage, cheese, and salami are tasty and rich bites to serve at a buffet or as an appetizer. For this recipe, I used a roll of puff pastry that I divided into rectangles; these I filled with boiled cabbage, but you can also use cabbage sautéed in a pan with garlic and oil, which will add extra flavor to your bundles. For the filling, I then added diced salami and grated Asiago cheese; of course, you can customize the filling using the cheese you like most. These puff pastry bundles with cabbage, cheese, and salami are irresistible and will disappear quickly!

Puff Pastry Bundles with Cabbage, Cheese, and Salami
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 6 Pieces
  • Cooking methods: Oven

Ingredients

  • 1 roll Puff Pastry (rectangular)
  • 2 oz cabbage
  • 1 oz Salami (diced)
  • 1 oz grated cheese
  • to taste Salt

Preparation

  • To prepare the puff pastry bundles with cabbage, clean the cabbage by removing the outer leaves, cut it into strips, and rinse under running water. Then cook it in plenty of boiling water and once cooked, drain it.

  • In a bowl, add the cabbage, small diced salami, and grated cheese (in this case, I used Asiago). Mix the ingredients with a spoon.

  • Roll out the puff pastry and with a pastry wheel, cut 6 rectangles. Place a spoonful of filling on the lower part of each rectangle, trying to leave space at the edges.

  • Fold the side edges inward, then start rolling each rectangle on itself, starting from the lower side, until closed.

  • Place the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven at 392°F for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
