- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 30 Minutes
- Portions: 4 People
Ingredients
- 4 Ice cream cones
- 1.8 oz Dark chocolate
- to taste Chopped hazelnuts
- to taste Crumbled meringues
- to taste White chocolate chips
- 0.63 cup Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (or a pod)
- 0.42 cup Fresh liquid cream
- 0.25 cup Sugar
Preparation
To make the vanilla ice cream cone, pour the milk, cream, and sugar into a saucepan. Add the vanilla extract and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, without bringing it to a boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, pour the mixture into a bowl, and let it cool completely.
Then pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and operate it following its instructions. Place the ice cream container in the freezer and once the ice cream maker has finished processing, transfer the ice cream to the container and store in the freezer.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, pour the mixture into a cold container (with a lid) and place it in the freezer for 6-8 hours.
Wrap the edge of each cone with parchment paper (secured with tape), this should exceed the edge by 1.5/2 inches. Place the cones in a suitable glass to keep them upright.
Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie, then with the help of a teaspoon, pour the melted chocolate on the edge and inside each cone, letting some fall to the bottom to create a chocolate tip. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
Fill each cone with vanilla ice cream, and garnish the top with the remaining melted chocolate, chopped hazelnuts, some white chocolate chips, and crumbled meringues.
Place the cones in the freezer and let them rest for at least 2 hours. Enjoy and bon appétit!
