Marinated Salmon is a delicious recipe to serve as an appetizer or a light main course. Ideal for inclusion in the Christmas Eve menu. If you need more fish-based ideas, I recommend these Quick Fish Appetizers that can all be prepared well in advance. Getting back to today’s preparation, the salmon prepared this way gives the fish a strong and pleasant marinade flavor. It’s a delicious and quick recipe, where you can accompany it with toasted crostini topped with spreadable cheese. Don’t forget to follow me on my Instagram and Facebook pages, I’m waiting for you!

Ingredients
- 5 oz salmon
- 1 lemon juice
- to taste wild fennel
- to taste pink peppercorns
- 2 tbsps extra virgin olive oil
- 1 baguette
- to taste fresh spreadable cheese
How to Prepare Marinated Salmon
Place the salmon slices on the serving plate, slightly overlapping them.
In a bowl, place the oil, lemon juice, and fennel, and at this point, give it a good mix.
Pour the prepared mixture over the salmon, cover with cling film and let it rest for 1 hour in the fridge. After resting, garnish with lemon slices and a drizzle of oil.
I recommend serving the marinated salmon with crostini spread with fresh cheese.
Storage and Variations for Marinated Salmon
Marinated salmon can only be stored in the fridge, well covered until the next day. If you don’t like Philadelphia for the crostini, you can replace it with stracciatella. If you’re looking for a light idea for a guest on a diet, you can replace the baguette with whole wheat bread.
