The crostini with gorgonzola, caramelized apples, and walnuts are perfect for an aperitif with friends or as an alternative second course to meat or fish. For these crostini, I used a sweet gorgonzola, but a spicy one will also do well, perfectly contrasting the delicacy and flavor of the caramelized apples. I cooked these in a pan with a pat of butter, a splash of wine, and some brown sugar. Finally, I served the crostini adding a bit of crunch with some chopped walnuts. These crostini are ideal to enjoy during the first cold autumn days!
