The cocoa lady’s kisses with white hazelnut cream are irresistibly tasty cookies. For their preparation, I used the classic lady’s kisses recipe by Iginio Massari and substituted part of the flour with unsweetened cocoa powder to achieve dark-colored kisses with a light filling. These cocoa lady’s kisses are delicious because the dough contains hazelnuts and almonds. For the filling, I opted for a delicious homemade white hazelnut cream. Cocoa lady’s kisses are easy to make and will be loved by everyone!

- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 20 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Oven
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/3 cup Hazelnut pieces
- 1/3 cup Blanched almonds
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- to taste white hazelnut cream
Preparation
To make the cocoa lady’s kisses, first finely chop the hazelnuts and almonds with the brown sugar. Then pour everything into a large bowl, or directly onto the work surface, and add the soft butter and vanilla extract. Start mixing with your hands, incorporate the flour and unsweetened cocoa powder.
Knead until you get a homogeneous dough; wrap it in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for one hour.
Once the dough has firmed up, divide it into several sticks and cut them into small pieces of dough about 0.25 oz each; then take each portion with your hands and form the balls.
Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 320°F for about 20 minutes.
Once cooled, fill half of the half spheres with white hazelnut cream and join them with the other half. Enjoy!
