Tiramisu Chocolates
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Economical
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 25 Pieces
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 3.9 oz Pavesini (or ladyfingers)
  • 1 cup Mascarpone
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsps Espresso coffee
  • 9 oz Dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp Coffee powder

Tools

  • Mixer

Preparation

  • To make the Tiramisu Chocolates, break the Pavesini, or ladyfingers, and put them in the mixer. Blend until you get a sandy-like mixture and set aside one tablespoon, which will be used for garnishing at the end.

  • Pour the crushed cookies into a large bowl and add the sugar. Mix the ingredients and gradually incorporate the mascarpone at room temperature, using a spoon or electric beaters if needed.

  • Also add the espresso coffee and mix until you get a homogeneous and compact mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 45/60 minutes.

  • Then take a bit of the mixture with your hands and form walnut-sized balls, or to the desired size.

  • Place the balls on a tray lined with parchment paper, and once the mixture is finished, put the tray with the balls in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  • In the meantime, melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave, and then add the coffee powder.

  • Dip the tiramisu balls in the chocolate and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper, and sprinkle the previously set aside crushed cookies over the top.

  • Put the tiramisu chocolates in the fridge for about 10/15 minutes, just enough time for the chocolate to harden, and serve. Enjoy!
